I guess since this is my very first blog I am going to take the time to back track and get everyone caught up!
I married my bestfriend in September of 2010. Chris and I met when I was in 8th grade at Freedom Middle School. I intantly thought he was cute! We had a typical 8th grade romance :) Lasting maybe all of 2 weeks! We went through High School Hanging out with the same group of friends but never dating again.
Fast Forward to the summer of 2007.... While working at medic 14 (downtown franklin) I walked up front to visit some of my Fire buddies. When I walked in, there he was, Chris Jackson! It had been several years since we had actually seen each other. He was there with his friend Jake. Chris at this time was thinking of Joining the Rescue Squad. In June I got moved to station 23 in Thompsons Station. I loved this move cause it was litteraly a 10 min drive to work! At this time Jake was a live in at Station 23 and Chris(now a member of the squad) always managed to be there when i was on shift. We slowly reconnected and started a relationship. In September of 2009 we closed on our first home.
While putting away laundry i stumbled upon a little black box in his sock drawer, so of course i looked ;) There it was, my dream ring! The ring is an orginal ring of the 1930s, belonging to his great grandmother. I have always wanted an antique ring, I wanted one that NO ONE else would have! This ring is very special to me and i will cherrish it always. The following Feb it was FINALLY on my finger.
After Several months of planning our wedding day finally arrived! 9/4/2010
So this brings us to today.....
We are so blessed to announce that we are expecting our first child. I would like to say that it was unexpected, but that wouldnt be the whole truth. We had decided after many conversations that we would just "see what happens" we both were thinking maybe it would take a couple of months... needless to say 2 weeks later, on April Fools day we saw 2 pink line...TWO! We are still progressing beautifully. I am 11 weeks today. My due date is DEC 7th. We are both very excited and can not wait to be parents. Here is a picture of our little Jelly Bean.
Chris also has some exciting news to share... A NEW TRUCK. After SEVERAL months of looking we finally found a keeper. I am so happy for him, he is very deserving of this truck.
